Job Summary

The Senior Solution Architect, D&T, SAP Production Planning collaborates with Production & Operations to define, deliver, and support D&T-enabled business solutions. This role leads the design, implementation, and support of SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) with hands-on configuration expertise in MRP, BOMs, routings, work centers, and production orders. The position ensures seamless integration with MES, QM, and EWM to enable end-to-end manufacturing execution. Responsible for full lifecycle delivery, including requirements, fit-gap, testing, and go-live support, the role drives process optimization, continuous improvement, and operational excellence in fast-paced manufacturing environments.?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and translate business needs into scalable SAP S/4HANA Production Planning solutions.
Lead the definition, documentation, and validation of detailed business and functional requirements, recommending best practices and optimal system solutions.
Provide deep functional and technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP), with integration knowledge across QM, MM, EWM, and MES/shop floor systems.
Spearhead the mapping of business requirements to robust technical architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and digital strategy.
Oversee the design, configuration, testing, and delivery of SAP S/4HANA PP functionality to meet defined business outcomes.
Ensure seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for real-time production execution and data synchronization.
Stay current with SAP S/4HANA releases and innovations, leveraging new capabilities to enhance manufacturing processes. Strong SAP HANA technical knowledge is preferred.
Provide leadership in project execution, including work allocation, cross-functional coordination, performance management, and outcome-driven delivery.
Solve complex system and process challenges using broad functional and technical expertise.
Provide system support and maintenance aligned with the SAP S/4HANA Service Delivery model, company policies, and regulatory requirements (including SOX and FDA GMP where applicable).
Create and maintain system lifecycle documentation, including SOPs, SOIs, functional specifications, and job aids in accordance with company governance standards.
Participate in and adhere to formal Change Control processes.
Support and contribute to Lean Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational performance targets.
Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and regulatory policies at all times.
Operate effectively within a global, virtual environment, prioritizing tasks and delivering results in high-pressure situations.
Travel locally as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Deep functional and technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) and Execution, including MRP, BOMs, routings, work centers, production orders, and capacity planning.
Working knowledge of Quality Management (QM) including inspection planning, quality notifications, non-conformance processes, and integration with production will be a plus.
Working knowledge of Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), including production supply, staging, and warehouse integration with manufacturing processes will be a plus.
Strong understanding of cross-functional integration between PP, QM, EWM, MM, and related modules.
Experience with SAP configuration (IMG), enhancements, testing, and system integration.
Good understanding (exposure level) of Quality Management (QM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) modules, particularly their integration touchpoints with Production Planning.
Knowledge of cross-functional integration between PP and related modules such as MM, QM and EWM.
Experience with SAP configuration (IMG), functional specifications, testing (SIT/UAT), and system integration.
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent experience

Work Experience
Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience required
Minimum 5 years of related work experience
Preferred but not required: Agile & Scrum Certification, ITIL
