Position Overview

The Client is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer to design, develop, customize, and support enterprise applications built on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform ecosystems.

In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative business solutions that enhance agency operations and support statewide economic development initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong Dynamics 365 functional expertise with hands-on software development experience and a solid understanding of enterprise integrations and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, customize, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications.
• Configure Dynamics 365 entities, forms, dashboards, business process flows, security roles, workflows, and business rules.
• Develop custom solutions using C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
• Build and maintain Model-Driven Apps and Canvas Apps using Microsoft Power Apps.
• Design and automate business processes using Microsoft Power Automate.
• Develop executive dashboards, operational reports, and analytics using Microsoft Power BI.
• Create custom plugins, workflow extensions, custom APIs, and web resources.
• Configure and manage Microsoft Dataverse tables, relationships, security models, and validation rules.
• Develop integrations between Dynamics 365 and enterprise systems using:
  • REST APIs
  • SOAP Web Services
  • Azure Functions
  • Logic Apps
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Microsoft Graph
• Participate in solution architecture, technical design, code reviews, and application planning.
• Support data migration, system integration, and data conversion initiatives.
• Manage Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and provide ongoing support.
• Produce technical documentation, deployment guides, and architecture documentation.
• Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure all solutions comply with security, accessibility, and State technology standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Strong experience configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.
• Experience developing:
  • Custom plugins
  • Workflows
  • Integrations
  • Extensions
• Hands-on experience building Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.
• Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational database design.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications using REST APIs and web services.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with any of the following will be highly regarded:

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Certification
• Microsoft Power Platform Certification
• Microsoft Azure Certification
• Experience with grants management, financial systems, licensing, permitting, or case management applications
• Public sector or State Government experience
• Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD best practices
• Experience working with cloud-hosted Microsoft environments
