Senior SAP IS-U / CRM Techno-Functional ABAP Developer

We are seeking a Senior SAP IS-U / CRM Techno-Functional ABAP Developer with deep experience in US utilities environments to design, enhance, and support customer-facing and billing-related solutions. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of hands-on experience combining strong ABAP development skills with functional expertise in SAP IS-U and SAP CRM, and is comfortable operating in highly regulated, production-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, development, and support of ABAP solutions across SAP IS-U and SAP CRM in a US utilities landscape
• Act as a senior techno-functional resource, partnering with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and IT teams
• Analyze utility business requirements and translate them into scalable, compliant technical solutions
• Support and enhance IS-U processes including billing, invoicing, FICA, customer master data, and device management
• Develop and maintain IS-U CRM integrations, including customer service and account management scenarios
• Provide production support for mission-critical systems, including root cause analysis and performance tuning
• Create and review technical designs, functional specifications, and documentation
• Ensure solutions comply with utility regulatory requirements, internal controls, and security standards

Required Experience & Skills

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP experience
• 8+ years of SAP IS-U CRM
• Strong techno-functional expertise in SAP IS-U (Billing, Invoicing, FICA, Master Data, Device Management)
• Solid hands-on experience with SAP CRM, preferably in US utilities customer service environments
• Advanced knowledge of:
  • ABAP Objects (OO ABAP)
• Enhancements, User Exits, BADIs, BTEs
• IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and Web Services
• ALV Reports, SmartForms, Adobe Forms
• Strong understanding of end-to-end US utilities business processes (meter-to-cash, customer care, payments)
• Proven ability to work independently in complex, high-volume production environments
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with S/4HANA Utilities or ECC to S/4 transformation programs
• Exposure to CRM Web UI, Web Dynpro ABAP, or Fiori
• Experience with SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery in enterprise environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience operating in regulated US utility environments and adherence to SOX, data privacy, audit, and security compliance standards
