Summary

Power Engineer

3 5 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on electric distribution networks and operational technologies.
Experience working with ADMS tools and functionality, including assessment of powerflow convergence and analysis of distribution circuit performance.
Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to nonconverging distribution powerflow models.
Familiarity with ADMS platforms, including AspenTech OSI, as well as SCADA integration and powerflow validation processes.
Handson experience with powerflow analysis tools such as CYME, capacity map development, and OSI distribution powerflow applications.
Experience with GIS applications supporting electric network modeling and asset connectivity.
Working knowledge of CIM XML formats and distribution circuit topology modeling using the Common Information Model.
Exposure to advanced distribution applications such as FLISR, VVO, VVC, and CVR.
Experience with load profiling, substation model development, and underground network modeling.
Background working with Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and their impact on distribution system operation and modeling.
Strong understanding of electric distribution network modeling principles and data structures.
Knowledge of IEC 61970/61968 (CIM), DNP3, ICCP, and related utility communication standards.
Proficiency in scripting, data validation, and database querying (e.g., SQL, Python).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Practical experience in substation, underground network, and DER modeling within planning or operational systems
