Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer, Perception to join an onsite engineering team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of algorithms that interpret 3D sensor data to understand complex environments. The ideal candidate will develop new perception capabilities, enhance existing systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver real-time, production-grade solutions that meet demanding operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for real-time 3D object detection, classification, and tracking using point cloud data.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, platform, and software teams to integrate perception modules into deployable systems.
- Packagen and deploy perception software across diverse runtime environments.
- Research state-of-the-art perception and AI techniques to improve model accuracy and performance.
- Contribute to long-term technical strategy and roadmap planning for perception and intelligent systems
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for algorithm development and system integration.
- 3D geometry, point cloud processing, linear algebra.
- Foundational detection and tracking techniques (clustering methods, state estimators).
- 3D data processing libraries
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field.
- Experience applying machine learning or deep learning techniques to 3D data.
- Knowledge of parallel processing and hardware acceleration techniques.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and scalable deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies and deploying software in production environments.
