Program Management - Program Manager V

Location: San Francisco, California (Remote)

COMPENSATION: $89 - $99 HOURLY

Role Overview

We are seeking a Program Manager for a People Data Review role within the People Risk, Privacy, and Compliance team. This position will lead risk initiatives and be responsible for the end-to-end assessment of employment, privacy, and AI risk in new use cases that impact people data. The ideal candidate will possess proven risk management skills and experience leading complex, matrixed company initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform deep-dive risk assessments across privacy and employment compliance, focusing on product-facing initiatives.
  • Apply and maintain rigorous risk frameworks to evaluate complex compliance risks.
  • Partner with technical teams to understand product infrastructure and data processing to assess associated risks.
  • Support the People Data Review program by managing high-intensity workflows with speed and attention to detail.
  • Influence product development through "compliance by design" principles to ensure adherence to global protection standards.
  • Lead end-to-end risk assessments for projects involving people data, maintaining accountability and collaborating with legal partners.
  • Lead the resolution of issues identified during reviews, working with legal and cross-functional compliance teams.
  • Develop and own communication plans to report program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and ensure HR compliance is maintained.
  • Define and track key metrics, quality indicators, and performance indicators to drive the execution of program deliverables.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in risk assessment, assurance, and compliance management.
  • Expertise in privacy and/or employment compliance and data protection (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • A technical data background, including an understanding of infrastructure and data processing.
  • Structured thinking and an analytical approach to risk analysis where speed and precision are critical.
  • A proven track record of taking full ownership of work.
  • Risk management or compliance expertise, such as 2nd line of defense risk management or internal audit experience within a technology company.
  • Background in People Data Privacy and/or User Data Privacy.
  • Employment compliance experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments for privacy, employment, security, and AI compliance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of or willingness to learn various employment laws, regulations, and company compliance policies.
  • Data analytical skills and experience working with attention to detail.
  • Experience maintaining work relationships with both engineering and legal partners.
