Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Cards and Payments Domain Consultant with a strong background as a Business Analyst or Product Owner. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the card transaction lifecycle (issuer and acquirer processing) and will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product development, solution design, and business transformation initiatives within the payments domain.



Key Responsibilities

Domain & Solution Expertise

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of the card transaction lifecycle, including issuer and acquirer processing
  • Support solution development and contribute to early-stage project envisioning
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and compliance teams to define and deliver solutions

Business Analysis & Product Ownership

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, features, epics, and user stories
  • Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value

Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Utilize tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or Trello for backlog and workflow management
  • Facilitate PI Planning and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership

Design & User Experience

  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in collaboration with UX designers
  • Drive UI/UX improvements aligned with business requirements and user experience goals

Data, Reporting & Metrics

  • Define and track KPIs and OKRs to measure product performance
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Use data insights to prioritize features and validate product outcomes

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Support QA teams in creating test plans, test cases, and validating results
  • Define test scenarios for user stories
  • Ensure product quality through collaboration with QA and validation of deliverables

Compliance & Governance

  • Work with compliance teams to ensure adherence to financial and enterprise standards
  • Identify and communicate risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place



Required Skills

Domain Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of Cards and Payments domain, including:
    • Card transaction lifecycle
    • Issuer and Acquirer processing
    • Payments and settlement flows

Business Analysis & Agile

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst / Product Owner
  • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, Trello
  • Ability to create user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria

Technical Understanding

  • Basic understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP), integrations, and system architecture
  • Familiarity with frontend, backend, and database concepts

Communication & Collaboration

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience creating presentations, point-of-view documents, and reports

AI & Innovation

  • Understanding of AI applications in financial services
  • Hands-on exposure to AI tools is preferred



Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with BaNCS Payments - Card Issuing
  • Experience with QA tools such as Selenium, Postman, or Cypress
  • Knowledge of use case modeling and story mapping
  • Experience in prototyping and UX collaboration
