Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced ERP Subject Matter Expert to join our US-based consulting practice. You will provide hands-on technical support for enterprise ERP migration and integration projects — including data extraction, SQL view development, field mapping, integration design, and cross-module guidance for clients migrating from legacy ERP systems to modern HCM/Payroll platforms.

This role is client-facing and project-driven. You will be embedded with client teams to unblock migration work items, ensure data accuracy through parallel testing, and support production go-live.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction & SQL Development

• Develop, validate, and optimize SQL extraction views against ERP HR, Payroll, and Financial databases
• Create extraction views for HCM/Payroll migration templates (employee data, earnings, deductions, tax, entitlements, legacy payroll)
• Implement effective-dating logic for historical and point-in-time data extraction
• Handle YTD reconstruction from check history detail tables where summary tables only carry current totals

Field Mapping & Code Translation

• Validate and refine field mappings from ERP source tables to target platform specifications
• Build crosswalk/translation tables for earning codes, deduction codes, pay groups, tax jurisdictions, and employment status codes
• Resolve grain mismatches across employee, check, and distribution-level data

Database & Technical Guidance

• Provide deep expertise on ERP database schemas — HR/Payroll, Project Management, Billing, GL, and AP modules
• Advise on schema permissions, view-based extraction strategies, and data access patterns
• Support data quality assessment and exception reporting

Integration Design Support

• Provide subject matter input on integration flows between ERP, HCM/Payroll, and field management systems
• Support REST API integration design (PM, Timecard, AR, AP, Core modules)
• Help evaluate automation options for manual processes (e.g., job cost true-up, GL exports)

Parallel Testing & Go-Live Support

• Support multiple UAT cycles during parallel run phase
• Execute and validate data extracts for each test iteration
• Address defects and data quality issues between cycles
• Support production data extraction and validation for go-live
• Participate in post-go-live warranty support for migration-related data issues

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise ERP systems (PENTA, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, or SAGE, with PENTA application and data integration knowledge as a must-to-have)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with PENTA ERP (HR/Payroll and Project Management modules)is a must-to-have
• Deep knowledge of ERP database schemas — core HR/Payroll tables, payroll check history, YTD structures, timecard tables
• Strong SQL skills — complex extraction views, multi-table joins, point-in-time query logic
• Experience with data migration projects from legacy ERP to modern HCM/Payroll platforms
• Understanding of US payroll: gross-to-net, federal/state/local tax withholding, deductions, earnings, YTD accumulation
• Experience in a consulting or client-facing technical delivery role

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce import templates and data specifications
• Familiarity with HeavyJob (HCSS) and construction industry payroll (certified payroll, prevailing wage, union/non-union)
• Experience with PentaConnect REST APIs (PM, Timecard, AR, AP, Core modules)
• Knowledge of SAGE Timberline or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
• Construction/engineering industry background
