This role sits at the intersection of law, product, AI research, and user experience.
What You'll Do
- Shape legal datasets representing litigation, investigations, compliance, privilege review, ECA, and corporate workflows.
- Define product capabilities by translating authentic legal processes into structured workflows, task specs, and agentic patterns for AI systems.
- Work directly with clients to explain capabilities, gather feedback, and help position the platform to in-house legal teams and law firms.
- Prototype and build using LLMs, scripting, and rapid experimentation to turn ideas into functional demos or workflows.
- Execute quickly in a fast-paced environment with high ownership and tight iteration cycles.
Required
- JD + active/prior bar membership.
- 2-8+ years in litigation, investigations, regulatory/compliance, e-discovery, or adjacent corporate legal work.
- Hands-on experience with real workflows: privilege review, depositions, factual development, custodian interviews, matter management, etc.
Technical / Product Orientation
- Fluent working with engineers and product teams.
- Ability to prompt LLMs, analyze outputs, use AI tools, or write light scripts.
- Strong intuition for mapping legal reasoning ? data, rules, workflows, and model behaviors.
Mindset
- Builder/hacker mentality; creative but rigorous.
- High execution, comfortable with ambiguity, iteration, and rapid experimentation.
- Motivated to help invent the next generation of legal AI-not just use it.
- Experience with e-discovery platforms or investigative workflows.
- Exposure to ML/AI concepts, synthetic data, or structured knowledge systems.
- Background in legal tech, product, innovation, or R&D-style roles.
- Work with top AI researchers and engineers on a first-of-its-kind legal AI platform.
- Directly shape system design, roadmap, and capabilities used by major enterprises and leading law firms.
- High-impact, startup-style environment with rapid iteration, ownership, and deep collaboration.
- Build foundational technology that will define the future of legal practice.
