Location: Remote (Greater Boston Area Preferred)
OverviewA large, highly regulated healthcare organization is seeking an experienced IT Security Compliance Analyst to support its Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) program. This individual will help ensure information systems, security processes, and controls meet internal standards as well as applicable regulatory and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate combines cybersecurity knowledge with audit, risk, and compliance experience and can work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Support the design and implementation of practical, scalable security controls to mitigate organizational risk.
- Assist with the maintenance and continual improvement of security policies, standards, and control frameworks.
- Perform security audits, assessments, and reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and processes.
- Support information security awareness and training initiatives across the organization.
- Develop and track remediation plans for identified security risks, findings, and compliance gaps.
- Help implement and maintain technical and administrative security controls.
- Participate in annual risk assessments and business impact analyses.
- Gather and produce audit evidence for internal and external compliance reviews.
- Partner with technical teams and subject matter experts to ensure security requirements are properly implemented.
- Contribute to the development, review, and maintenance of IT security policies and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and industry regulations.
- Stay current on cybersecurity trends, threats, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT compliance, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of security governance, risk management, compliance, and audit practices.
- Experience interpreting technical environments, operating systems, and network architectures.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyze processes, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications- CISSP certification preferred.
- Experience supporting healthcare, financial services, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of risk assessments, control testing, and audit evidence collection.
- Project management experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with audit reviews, process assessments, and log analysis.
