Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Network L3 Engineer - Routing & Switching with strong expertise in enterprise networking, SD-Access, and Cisco technologies. The role involves advanced network design, troubleshooting, and development of lab frameworks for IoT integration and validation.



Location & Work Mode

  • Location: New York
  • Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)
  • Condition: Onsite requirement applies post Background Check (BGC)



Experience Required

  • 8-10+ years of experience in enterprise networking
  • Senior-level expertise in Routing & Switching



Technical Skills

Core Networking

  • Strong expertise in Routing & Switching (L2/L3)
  • Deep knowledge of protocols:
    • BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
    • Multicast (IGMPv2/v3, PIM, RP - Static & Anycast)

Networking Platforms

  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Cisco ISR, ASR1K, ASR9K
    • Catalyst 9K, Nexus 9K
    • Arista switches and platforms

SDN & Advanced Networking

  • SD-Access (SDA) - Mandatory
  • Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) - Mandatory
  • VXLAN - Mandatory
  • Knowledge of:
    • SD-WAN
    • DMVPN
    • IPSEC
    • MACSEC

Security & Access Control

  • Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
  • 802.1X / NAC (Network Access Control)
  • TrustSec & network segmentation
  • TACACS+, DNS, DHCP

Automation & Tools

  • Ansible (Preferred)
  • Network automation exposure

Infrastructure

  • Cabling & optics:
    • 10G / 25G / 40G / 50G / 100G
    • Breakout cables and panels



Experience & Domain Knowledge

  • Strong hands-on experience in enterprise network environments
  • Experience with IoT deployments and communication protocols
  • Expertise in troubleshooting network connectivity for IoT devices/sensors
  • Proven experience in SD-Access deployment and support



Certifications

  • Cisco CCIE (Lab Certification) - Mandatory



Roles & Responsibilities

Network Engineering

  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure
  • Implement and manage Routing & Switching environments
  • Deploy and maintain SD-Access and VXLAN-based networks

IoT & Lab Development

  • Develop lab frameworks to integrate IoT endpoints with enterprise networks
  • Identify communication scenarios between edge and endpoint devices
  • Validate:
    • Hardware platforms
    • Software features
    • Endpoint functionality

Testing & Validation

  • Design and execute tests for:
    • Data collection
    • Aggregation
    • Analytics capabilities
  • Oversee network validation and certification activities

Security & Segmentation

  • Implement NAC, TrustSec, and network segmentation
  • Configure 802.1X authentication and access control policies

Collaboration & Governance

  • Work with cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders
  • Provide documentation, reporting, and status updates
  • Ensure adherence to quality and delivery timelines



Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Excellent stakeholder coordination
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
