Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer (Cloud & Network)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, build, and scale our next-generation automated infrastructure platforms. You will move beyond manual configuration to build the libraries, scripts, and playbooks that manage our distributed network and cloud ecosystems.
This is a developer-centric role for someone who understands that infrastructure is code. You will build end-to-end automation solutions, optimize performance bottlenecks in distributed systems, and architect deployment pipelines that ensure our cloud and network environments are reliable, scalable, and fully automated.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Design & Development
End-to-End Orchestration: Design and develop robust applications, libraries, and automation playbooks that govern the lifecycle of cloud and network infrastructure.
Pipeline Ownership: Architect and maintain automated deployment pipelines, utilizing GitLab Actions to streamline the release of infrastructure improvements and new features.
Performance Optimization: Analyze infrastructure and code-level bottlenecks. Proactively improve execution efficiency and system maintainability.
Cloud & Network Architecture
Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and deploy scalable services using AWS (Fargate/ECS) and Terraform to manage our production environment.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Maintain a rigorous IaC standard, ensuring that every deployment is reproducible, version-controlled, and documented.
Distributed Systems: Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate network automation with distributed application services, ensuring seamless connectivity and configuration management.
Collaboration & Quality Governance
Technical Stewardship: Participate in and lead code and design reviews. Ensure the quality, security, and maintainability of our automation codebase.
Agile Execution: Work within a fast-paced Scrum/Kanban environment to define requirements, prioritize high-impact technical tasks, and meet delivery timelines.
Documentation: Own the "Source of Truth"-create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all scripts, automation playbooks, and architectural decisions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Mastery:
oExpert-level proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
oDeep experience in Infrastructure Automation (using Ansible or equivalent configuration management tools).
oExperience building frontend/middle-tier services using NodeJS, NextJS, or React.
Cloud & DevOps Proficiency:
oProven experience with AWS (Fargate/ECS).
oStrong working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
oHands-on experience with source code version control and CI/CD workflows (GitLab).
Communication: Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Attributes
Strong foundational knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS) or distributed system architectures.
A "security-first" mindset regarding infrastructure deployments.
