Introduction:

Our Client is looking for a Kafka Admin with Linux, Python, Prometheus, and Grafana skills to join their team in New York, NY or Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities:

Manage and administer Kafka clusters
Monitor Kafka performance and troubleshoot issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize Kafka infrastructure
Implement automation scripts using Python for Kafka tasks
Create and maintain monitoring dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana
Ensure Kafka security and data governance
Participate in on-call rotation for production support

Requirements:

Required Skills:

Experience with Kafka administration
Proficiency in Linux operating system
Strong Python scripting skills
Knowledge of Prometheus for monitoring
Familiarity with Grafana for dashboard creation

Preferred Skills:

Certification in Kafka administration
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good communication and collaboration abilities
