The team estimates manufacturing costs, determines time standards and recommends tooling and process requirements with the ability to innovate, source and implement cutting-edge technologies in the factory, such as robotics, cobots and vision systems. The team leads Engineering Change Management across our product life cycles.What you?ll achieveAs a Process Development Engineer 1, you will be responsible for supporting Global Operations Storage and Solutions manufacturing and driving Productivity improvements with Quality focus. You will work with multiple local organizations such as Operations, Quality, Test Engineering, and EH&S to drive key metrics and initiatives. You will have a high level of visibility to teams across Global Operations, including Planning, Operations and Finance to determine manufacturing cost, timing, capacity and equipment requirements.You will:- Support Manufacturing Operations to initiate process improvements to improve factory output and reduce cycle time.- Works with other engineers and group teams on projects to exchange information and assist on project completion.- Create/update/maintain nd provide necessary training to operators per EH&S requirements.Work closely with engineers and operations management to fulfill internal customer needs and communicate results. Could include reviewing parts drawings, specifications and other engineering data- Estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines, including Automation- Maintain records and reporting systems
