  • Prepare and review equipment data sheets, RFQs, bid tabulations, and RFPs for mechanical and rotating equipment.
  • Demonstrate a strong command of rotating and static equipment specifications and ensure all equipment selections meet project requirements.
  • Oversee piping stress analysis for complex systems, ensuring designs comply with project and industry standards.
  • Apply expertise in ASME, API, ANSI, PIP, ASHRAE, ASTM, TEMA, AWS, MSS-SP, OSHA, and NACE codes, ensuring compliance throughout all phases of the project.
  • Conduct process studies, research investigations, and draft reports within defined scopes to provide insightful recommendations and optimizations.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of mechanical engineering teams, supporting personnel, and technicians.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve project workflows and optimize efficiency within the team.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity in project goals and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, contributing to a cohesive and safety-conscious team environment.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with an emphasis on equipment design, process piping, and stress analysis in refineries, chemical, or process plants.
  • U.S. Citizenship, valid Employment Authorization Documents (EAD), or Permanent Residency required (visa sponsorship unavailable).
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical equipment design and engineering, including equipment selection and preparation of purchasing packages.
  • Proficiency in the use of engineering design software and piping stress analysis tools.
  • Experience in applying industry-wide codes and guidelines such as ASME, API, ANSI, PIP, and more.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in piping stress analysis, and equipment design, with a focus on refineries and chemical plants.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and technical staff.
