Cyber Security Engineer - Agentic AI
Overview

The Cyber Security Engineer will design, build, secure, and deploy Agentic AI use cases that enhance cybersecurity operations, enterprise workflows, and security-adjacent automation. This is a hands-on, engineering-focused role responsible for embedding security throughout the full lifecycle of AI-enabled solutions.

The engineer will work across cloud-native and enterprise environments to develop AI systems that safely interact with tools, APIs, and workflows while operating within defined guardrails, human oversight, and access controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and secure Agentic AI solutions across the full lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Develop AI-enabled solutions such as:
    • Security copilots
    • Incident response orchestration capabilities
    • Enterprise workflow agents
    • Knowledge-driven assistants interacting with sensitive systems and data
  • Integrate security controls into AI and application development pipelines (CI/CD and DevSecOps)
  • Perform threat modeling and apply secure SDLC practices
  • Implement identity, access control, and secrets management for AI systems and connected tools
  • Support vulnerability management and remediation efforts
  • Ensure secure cloud deployment practices in Azure and AWS environments
  • Define and enforce AI guardrails, including:
    • Prompt and context protections
    • Monitoring and logging requirements
    • Policy enforcement mechanisms
  • Collaborate with application teams, platform teams, security architects, and governance stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions
Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience in one or more of the following:
    • Application security
    • Cloud security
    • Infrastructure/network security
    • DevSecOps / CI-CD security
    • Vulnerability management
    • Security architecture / zero trust
  • Experience designing and implementing security controls for cloud-native applications in Azure and/or AWS
  • Strong understanding of secure SDLC practices, including:
    • Code security
    • Pipeline security
    • Secrets management
    • Dependency risk
    • Deployment hardening
  • Experience securing systems that integrate with external data sources, enterprise APIs, plugins, or automation tools
  • Ability to define logging, monitoring, and observability requirements for AI-enabled applications
  • Understanding of data protection, privacy, and sensitive data handling
  • Strong troubleshooting and engineering execution skills, with the ability to move from design to deployment
  • Effective communication skills to work across technical and governance stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building or securing:
    • Security-focused AI systems
    • Threat-hunting assistants
    • Workflow automation agents
    • Incident response orchestration solutions
  • Exposure to:
    • Retrieval-based systems
    • Knowledge-grounded AI assistants
    • Secure data access patterns for AI applications
  • Experience with LLM application patterns, including:
    • Orchestration frameworks
    • Tool-calling patterns
    • Secure prompt/context management
  • Familiarity with:
    • AI red teaming and adversarial testing
    • Model abuse cases and attack-path analysis
    • Agentic AI security controls (guardrails, human-in-the-loop workflows)
  • Experience with policy-as-code, infrastructure-as-code security controls, or automated governance
  • Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance frameworks related to AI and cloud environments
  • Experience integrating AI systems with:
    • SIEM / SOAR platforms
    • Case management or ticketing systems
    • Security operations workflows
  • Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure security tools, AWS AI/security services, or enterprise AI platforms
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or cloud security certifications
  • Experience working in regulated or high-assurance environments
