A Beats Product Design Engineer is required to be innovative and collaborative with experience in designing, developing, testing, and documenting mechanical design solutions. You will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with teams across Apple including Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Human Factors, and Software to define product objectives, design solutions, and validate the performance of those designs through mass production, all while keeping customer experience at the forefront. You will be given the opportunity to develop proprietary designs needed to enhance the functionality of our products. Your contributions will have broad impacts - from the overall system form factor down to the smallest details.

BS Mechanical Engineering\n3D CAD Expertise\n2+ years of product design experience, or equivalent\nExperience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning (GD&T) at sub-assembly and full system levels\nAbility to travel internationally (up to 20%)\nFlexibility and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment

MS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent\nHands-on consumer electronic product design experience in a fast-paced and high-volume production environment\nDirect experience with audio products and/or highly complex, wearable devices\nExperience with NX, TeamCenter, or Agile\nBroad range of experience designing for various materials and processes: plastic injection/compression molding, metal machining, metal forming/stamping, extensive material finishing, and cosmetic treatments\nStrong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to use statistical tools and techniques to support design\nAbility to work with Industrial Design to assess product features for manufacturability and recommend capable processes, equipment, etc.\nExperience with component modules (audio drivers, connectors, batteries, electronics packaging, antennas, PCBAs)\nExperience working with overseas manufacturers\nExperience with basic finite element analysis and general mechanical engineering analysis\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and people skills; ability to interact with management, team members, and external vendors to achieve project goals and contribute positively to the engineering community
