We need an Instructional Designer who is also a Power BI Subject Matter Expert.
This person will design, build, and deliver Power BI and data literacy training for a large healthcare organization rolling out Power BI enterprise wide. They must be strong in instructional design, content creation, facilitation, and have hands on Power BI experience (not developer level, but fluent enough to teach it to multiple personas).

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Overview
A large healthcare organization is launching an enterprise wide Power BI initiative and is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer with strong Power BI expertise. This role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering high quality learning experiences for a wide range of learners-from data consumers to aspiring Power BI developers.
The ideal candidate blends instructional design mastery, hands on Power BI experience, and strong facilitation skills to drive data literacy and user adoption across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic (20%)
- Translate program goals and learning objectives into scalable instructional solutions.
- Identify new opportunities to expand data literacy and analytics training offerings.
- Represent the data literacy program through networking, presentations, and professional engagement.
- Operational (20%)
- Own the lifecycle of a major workstream within the data literacy program, including impact metrics and ROI reporting.
- Evaluate existing training resources and expand them into sustainable, multi persona learning assets.
- Support program marketing through speaking engagements, blog content, and other communication channels.
- Tactical (60%)
- Conduct user interviews to understand learner needs and challenges.
- Design and develop courses, modules, curricula, and learning personas for Power BI and data literacy topics.
- Create engaging instructional materials using tools such as Articulate/Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond, Captivate, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Facilitate virtual and in person training sessions for diverse audiences, including clinical, operational, and executive staff.
- Partner with subject matter experts to validate and refine content.
- Pilot test materials and iterate based on feedback to continuously improve learner experience.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years in instructional design, training, eLearning, curriculum development, or related fields.
- 4+ years in data and analytics (data science, BI, data management, statistical programming, etc.).
- Hands on experience with Power BI and its integration with Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform).
- 1+ year using instructional design tools (Articulate, Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond, Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong facilitation skills; comfortable presenting to large groups.
- Excellent communication, writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage learners from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
Preferred Qualifications

3+ years instructional design or training experience.

5+ years data and analytics experience.

Experience implementing or evaluating enterprise training programs.

Knowledge of instructional design methodologies, eLearning strategies, and LMS administration.

Certifications in Instructional Design or UX Design.
