Senior QA Tester

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Topeka, KS that is seeking a Senior QA Tester.

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality software and finding innovative ways to improve testing processes? We're looking for a Quality Assurance professional to join a collaborative technology team focused on building reliable, scalable applications and exceptional user experiences.

What You'll Do:
* Design and execute test plans, test cases, and quality assurance strategies
* Perform manual and automated testing across web, enterprise, and API-based applications
* Identify, document, and track defects while working closely with development teams to resolve issues
* Support software releases through risk assessments, impact analysis, and quality validation
* Analyze testing results and communicate quality metrics to stakeholders
* Help improve testing processes, automation efforts, and overall product quality

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience
* Experience testing web, API, and enterprise applications
* Knowledge of automated testing tools and test automation frameworks
* Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
* Understanding of Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
* Experience with SQL, databases, and data validation
* Exposure to integration, backend, and compatibility testing
* Software testing certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar
* Experience mentoring junior QA team members

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
