Description

A leading energy company is seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join its on-site operations team. This role supports critical infrastructure and real-time systems in a highly regulated energy environment. The position will work closely with offshore support teams from Wipro, ensuring seamless coordination, issue resolution, and continuous operations. This opportunity is exclusively supported through TEKsystems, offering access to cutting-edge technologies and mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure and systems within the NOC environment. Serve as the on-site escalation point for offshore Wipro teams, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution. Provide 24/7 support for network operations, system alerts, and incident management. Respond to outages, performance issues, and service disruptions with urgency and accuracy. Maintain operational visibility using tools such as SolarWinds and other monitoring platforms. Support and maintain SCADA systems critical to energy grid operations. Perform routine checks, updates, and maintenance on network components and systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, cybersecurity, and field operations. Document incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures in accordance with compliance standards. Assist in continuous improvement of NOC processes and workflows.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Technical Skills Cisco Networking: Strong understanding of routing, switching, and troubleshooting (routers, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs). SolarWinds: Experience monitoring network health, creating alerts, and analyzing performance metrics. Nutanix: Familiarity with hyperconverged infrastructure and virtualization environments. SD-WAN: Experience supporting or troubleshooting software-defined wide area networks. SCADA Systems: Exposure to or experience with industrial control systems and real-time monitoring environments. Additional Qualifications Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar 24/7 support environment. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work on-site and coordinate effectively with offshore teams. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, problem, and change management) preferred. Experience in the energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure sector is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
