About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with deep Harness CI/CD expertise to support enterprise platform engineering initiatives. You’ll build standardized deployment patterns, reusable pipeline frameworks, governance controls, and developer self-service capabilities for cloud-native applications on Google Cloud.
What you’ll do
· Standardize CI/CD: Design enterprise deployment patterns in Harness, and build reusable pipeline, stage, and step templates.
· Enforce governance: Establish automated policy enforcement with OPA, along with compliance and security controls in the pipelines.
· Deploy securely on Google Cloud Platform: Implement secure deployment practices, including canary and blue/green strategies, traffic splitting, secret management, and environment configuration.
· Automate infrastructure: Build Terraform-based provisioning with reusable, modular code for service accounts, IAM roles, and cloud resources.
· Automate API delivery: Deploy Apigee X API proxies through CI/CD using apigeecli and apigeectl.
· Enable developers: Support onboarding and self-service deployment, including Harness IDP workflows.
· Document: Write technical documentation, runbooks, and migration guides.
Must have
· 7+ years of DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering experience
· Extensive, recent hands-on Harness CI/CD, including reusable pipeline, stage, and step templates, Pipeline-as-Code, and YAML pipelines
· Git-based workflows and PR-driven deployment models
· OPA (Open Policy Agent) policies in Harness, plus CI/CD governance, compliance, and security controls
· Strong Google Cloud Platform experience, including Cloud Functions
· Canary and blue/green deployments, traffic splitting, secret management, and environment configuration
· Advanced Terraform with reusable, modular code for service accounts, IAM, and platform services
· Google Cloud Platform IAM best practices: least privilege, Workload Identity Federation, and service account impersonation
· Security scanning and policy enforcement within CI/CD pipelines
· Strong communication and documentation skills
Nice to have
· Apigee X: API proxy development and deployment automation with apigeecli and apigeectl
· Harness IDP and developer self-service workflow implementation
· Platform engineering and Internal Developer Platform experience
· Enterprise DevOps transformation initiatives
· Automated linting and vulnerability scanning integrations
· Developer enablement and onboarding workflow design
