Summary

About the Role

Our client, a global leader in their field, is seeking a Technical Program Manager to help drive the successful delivery of complex digital, web, ecommerce, self-service portal, and mobile application initiatives.
This is a newly created and highly visible role designed to bring greater structure, process discipline, transparency, and delivery focus across multiple digital product workstreams. The Program Manager will partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are well-planned, clearly communicated, properly prioritized, and delivered on time.

This role is ideal for a proactive, assertive, detail-oriented program manager who knows how to break large digital initiatives into manageable workstreams, identify and remove blockers, improve team handoffs, and keep cross-functional teams moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple digital product workstreams across ecommerce, websites, internal self-service portals, and mobile application initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, requirements, timelines, dependencies, resources, risks, and key milestones.
  • Break large initiatives into discrete, manageable phases with clear owners, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Serve as Scrum Master, leading daily or bi-daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies as needed.
  • Use Jira to manage project execution, track progress, identify blockers, and provide visibility into delivery status.
  • Coordinate smooth handoffs between Product, Design, Engineering, QA, and business teams.
  • Proactively identify risks, roadblocks, resource constraints, and timeline issues; escalate and resolve issues before they impact delivery.
  • Support stakeholder reviews, sprint demos, release reviews, and regular project status communications.
  • Manage and communicate progress on prioritized backlogs, including break-fix work, enhancements, and new feature delivery.
  • Help improve continuous improvement processes across digital product teams.
  • Act as a neutral, delivery-focused facilitator who keeps teams aligned, accountable, and moving toward shared business goals.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors as needed to support delivery of digital platforms and related initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, project management, or digital product delivery.
  • Proven experience managing complex web, digital, ecommerce, mobile app, or customer-facing technology projects.
  • Strong Jira experience, including backlog management, sprint tracking, reporting, and delivery visibility.
  • Hands-on experience leading Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional digital delivery involving Product, Design, Engineering, QA, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to break complex initiatives into clear project plans, workstreams, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive accountability across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide clear project status updates and communicate risks, progress, and accomplishments to business stakeholders.
  • Highly proactive, assertive, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, and changing business needs.
  • Experience managing resources, timelines, budgets, vendors, and delivery risks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a consumer-facing, sales-driven, marketing-driven, ecommerce, travel, hospitality, retail, or digital commerce environment.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems such as Sitecore, Optimizely, Sanity, WordPress, Drupal, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Notion or similar collaboration/documentation tools.
  • Experience supporting mobile app launches, relaunches, or major digital platform modernization initiatives.
  • Experience managing continuous improvement, break-fix, enhancement, and feature delivery backlogs.
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams.
  • Work hours aligned with East Coast time zone (EST).

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is not simply a project tracker. This person is a driver someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, push teams toward deadlines, surface blockers early, and keep complex digital initiatives moving.
They should be assertive but collaborative, detail-oriented but practical, and comfortable working across both technical and business teams. The right candidate will know how to create clarity, improve process, communicate transparently, and help teams deliver high-quality digital experiences across web, ecommerce, portal, and mobile platforms.

Why This Role Is Interesting

This is a high-impact opportunity to step into a newly created role and help shape how digital product work gets planned, managed, and delivered. The person in this role will support multiple important customer-facing and internal digital platforms, including ecommerce, websites, self-service portals, and a mobile app relaunch.
