Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Advanced) to support operations of a legacy Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) within a healthcare environment. This role will focus on operational support, reporting and analytics, system coordination, and business-IT alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Act as liaison between business units and IT to deliver technical solutions aligned with operational needs.
Support daily operations of the legacy MMIS and related subsystems.
Develop, retrieve, and distribute operational reports and datasets for reconciliation and monitoring.
Translate business requests into system requirements and technical specifications.
Monitor vendor activities and coordinate issue resolution between stakeholders.
Support and coordinate eligibility Data Match processes.
Document and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate QA results.
Identify trends, risks, and operational issues; escalate when necessary.
Document and analyze business processes and recommend improvements.
Provide clear status reports and operational updates to leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

1+ year experience supporting legacy MMIS projects as a Business Analyst.
1+ year experience with Medicaid claims and provider operations.
1+ year experience working with Medicaid eligibility and/or enrollment systems.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Footprints, and SharePoint.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional environments.

Preferred Skills

Subject Matter Expertise in MMIS Operations.
Experience with data analysis tools such as SAS, advanced Excel, or data visualization tools.
Experience in statistical analysis and operational reporting.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technical, Healthcare, or related field
OR
4+ years of business/systems analysis or systems development experience in lieu of degree
