Summary

We are looking for a Administrative Coordinator for our client in Newton, MA

Job Title: Administrative Coordinator

Job Location: Newton, MA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $20hr - $25hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Previous front desk or customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Front desk scheduling experience in EPIC.
  • Experience collecting co-payments.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a high-volume outpatient setting.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and administrative support skills.
  • Positive attitude, empathy, and genuine passion for patient care and support services.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of medical office experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working with surgeons or clinical scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide departmental support by performing receptionist and clerical duties.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly, gather screening information, and manage messages.
  • Retrieve voicemail messages, return calls, and forward messages as needed.
  • Manage referrals and review health insurance payor information.
  • Organize and maintain patient records, logs, and other control systems.
  • Retrieve files as needed and maintain accurate, confidential, and retrievable information.
  • Coordinate new patient intake and onboarding.
  • Complete special projects and additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Should Have:

  • Previous experience working with surgeons.
  • Clinical scheduling experience.
  • Associate s degree.
