This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S, preferred location is Dallas, Texas or Atlanta, Georgia.  A hybrid working model is acceptable.
 

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team leads and product owners to understand requirements, groom stories, and assist with design and implementation strategies.
• Implement features, troubleshoot issues, and define best practices as a hands-on technical role.
• Work with engineers of various levels and diverse skill sets on collaborative projects.

Requirements

• Proficient in Python and at least one major web framework.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI and GraphQL APIs with Strawberry.
• Experience working with streaming platforms such as Kafka or Event Hubs.
• Strong proficiency with databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Spark and Delta Lake.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering and machine learning workflows.
• Experience working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Llama, or other GenAI models.
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Experience deploying applications using Docker and managing with Kubernetes.
• Creating and managing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Proven experience designing applications for around 5,000 daily active users.
• Handling high concurrency with multi-processing, multi-threading, or actor models.
• Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, or Next.js is a bonus.
• Industry/domain knowledge relevant to telecommunications is preferred.
