As an IC&E Technician at our Dell Power Plant, you will use your controls, instrumentation, and electrical experience to help keep a combined cycle power generation facility operating safely and reliably. This hands-on role focuses heavily on maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and improving plant control systems, instrumentation, and related electrical equipment, with occasional shift work, on-call support, emergency response, and travel required.

What You'll Do
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, install, and modify plant instrumentation, control loops, control systems, and related electrical equipment.
  • Read and interpret control diagrams, logic drawings, schematics, electrical one-lines, technical manuals, operating instructions, and P&IDs.
  • Use the CMMS to document preventive and corrective maintenance while following all safety, environmental, LOTO, and ARC Flash requirements.

What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus demonstrated experience with instrumentation, controls, and low- or medium-voltage electrical systems.
  • Strong controls troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose equipment issues and use electrical testing and calibration equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, respond to plant needs, and work occasional shifts, on-call assignments, heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.

Preferred
  • Experience maintaining instrumentation and control systems in a combined cycle power plant, utility generation facility, or industrial plant environment.
  • Experience adjusting control loops, working with logic drawings, supporting preventive maintenance, and documenting work in a CMMS.
  • General knowledge of industrial safety practices, hazardous material handling, and the ability to qualify as an Outside Operator and Mechanical Maintenance.
