Summary

RFA Engineering ( is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff on products used throughout the work in the oil and gas industry. This position will operate onsite at our customer's engineering and manufacturing facility in Statesboro, GA.

Mechanical Systems Engineer

As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of electromechanical systems and components. You will work closely with the engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to support products through the entire life cycle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop prototype CAD assemblies & models, schematics, diagrams using SolidWorks.
  • Use engineering expertise to innovate ideas for the design of flow measurement products and integrated electromechanical systems..
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers to develop mechanical and mechatronic design solutions.
  • Track and plan engineering tasks and deliverables using Project Management techniques.
  • Design optimization for cost, manufacturability & service.
  • Supplier collaboration for design optimization.
  • Prepare and execute test plans, create report documents, reviews & technical documents.
  • Generate project schedules and adhere to plan.
  • Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for mechanical, electrical & integrated systems on prototypes.
  • Verify that designs align with regulatory requirements, safety standards and gas and oil industry codes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and system integration of electrical & mechanical components.
  • Ability to interpret and generate schematics, wiring diagrams, system layouts and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in mechanical, electrical and software/controls interfaces.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Background in mechatronics, mechanical systems, electromechanical design or controls preferred.
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience.

Desired Skills
  • Experience in the Gas & Oil industry a plus.
  • Experience in weights and measure a plus.

Pay Range: $85,000-$110,000 - Commensurate with experience
