Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for optimizing the flow of work and the value delivered by one or more Agile teams supporting a Network AI and Agentic Transformation. The focus is on serving the needs of the team to drive performance, predictability, and continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will coordinate and facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage dependencies, and ensure deliverables are advanced in a structured manner.
Responsibilities: - Guide and coach one or more teams on Scrum practices and help strengthen their understanding of Agile principles and delivery discipline
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and other delivery routines as needed
- Help teams maintain a healthy backlog of deliverables, epics, and stories in collaboration with workstream leads and relevant stakeholders
- Promote structured backlog readiness by helping ensure work is sufficiently defined, sequenced, and understood before team commitment
- Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal to support delivery timelines and team effectiveness
- Promote communication and collaboration within and across teams to support completion of transformation deliverables and sprint commitments
- Provide visibility into delivery plans, team progress, blockers, and risks to stakeholders, delivery leads, and transformation leadership
- Help the team define and reinforce working agreements, including definitions of ready and done, team norms, and execution expectations
- Enable teams to improve performance through continuous improvement practices, retrospectives, and a focus on measurable execution outcomes
- Track delivery, maturity, and performance metrics and review them with the team to identify improvement opportunities and execution risks
- Coordinate with adjacent teams and stakeholders to manage cross-team dependencies and support integrated delivery across the broader transformation
- Support the orderly advancement of work from planning through execution by helping teams stay aligned to priorities, commitments, and target outcomes
- Escalate material delivery risks, blockers, or misalignment issues in a timely manner and help drive resolution
- Mentor more junior Scrum Masters or delivery participants where appropriate and help promote stronger Agile practices across the organization
Requirements: - Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile delivery practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and dependency management
- Experience facilitating Agile delivery for technology programs, products, or transformation initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and evolving priorities
- Ability to coordinate the flow of work across deliverables, epics, and stories to support incremental and predictable delivery
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to run effective team ceremonies, working sessions, and cross-team alignment meetings
- Experience managing team dependencies, delivery risks, impediments, and escalation paths in a structured and timely manner
- Ability to maintain a healthy and prioritized backlog in partnership with delivery leads, workstream leads, or sponsoring stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear visibility into plans, progress, blockers, and delivery risks
- Experience using delivery metrics to assess team performance, delivery health, and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to promote effective communication across business, technology, and transformation stakeholders
- Ability to coach teams on Agile ways of working and reinforce agreed norms, definitions, and team practices
- Experience working in a fast-paced and complex environment with evolving priorities and cross-functional dependencies
- Working knowledge of Agile tooling and workflow tracking practices used to manage stories, sprint commitments, and delivery progress
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through in support of execution discipline
- Ability to support delivery of transformation initiatives without requiring deep specialization in the underlying technical domain
- Strong problem-solving skills and judgment in helping teams navigate delivery friction and competing priorities
Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour
