Description
The Associate Operations Engineer joins the Tech Desktop team that deploys and supports end-user compute across HQ and 60+ branch locations. This is a hands-on, operationally focused role with a unique opportunity to contribute to a large Windows laptop refresh (~2,000 devices over the next couple of years) and to support the organization's transition from on-prem management (AD + SCCM/MECM) to a modern cloud management model (Intune/Azure).
You'll handle break/fix tickets, device imaging and deployment, and day-to-day operational workflows (receiving, inventory, labeling, shipping), while partnering with the team on workflow improvements in ServiceNow. The role is onsite daily at Tukwila HQ; no branch travel is expected initially.
What You'll Do
Operational Support & Break/Fix
Triage and resolve end-user incidents and requests via ServiceNow, focusing on laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
Perform device imaging, configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment activities.
Device Lifecycle & Logistics
Execute end-to-end laptop deployment workflows (receiving, inventory control, asset tagging/labeling, staging, shipping).
Maintain organized stock, ensure accurate recordkeeping, and support order fulfillment to remote users and branches.
Platform & Endpoint Management
Support the current on-prem endpoint environment (Active Directory + SCCM/MECM).
Contribute to the ongoing transition to Intune/Azure (cloud-based device management).
Process & Workflow Improvement
Identify opportunities to reduce manual steps and improve throughput in ServiceNow (status flows, automations, templates, catalogs).
Document procedures and contribute to knowledge base articles for repeatable tasks.
Project Support
Assist with the ~2,000 laptop refresh over the next couple of years and new branch stand-ups (HQ execution-no travel expected initially).
Minimum Qualifications
1-3+ years in a hands-on end-user/desktop support or operations role in a Windows enterprise environment.
Working knowledge of Active Directory (user/device objects, basic administration) and SCCM/MECM (software/patch deployments, collections, imaging concepts).
Experience handling tickets in ServiceNow (intake, triage, updates, closure).
Proven hardware troubleshooting skills (laptops/desktops/peripherals).
Strong organizational skills for warehouse/stockroom tasks (receiving, labeling, inventory, shipments).
Clear, professional communication and the ability to work onsite daily in Tukwila.
Preferred / Nice to Have
Exposure to Microsoft Intune and Azure AD device management (enrollment, policies, compliance basics).
ServiceNow workflow optimization (catalog items, automations) or scripting interest.
Prior experience supporting multi-site environments (financial services or branch operations).
Soft Skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
