Summary

Job Title: SAP EC Payroll Sr. Technical Expert
Location: Houston hybrid (4/1), other locations might be considered
Duration: Expected to be 6 months contract with the possibility of extension to 1 year

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Payroll Technical Expert in SAP Employee Central Payroll to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess both technical and functional expertise in SAP Employee Centra Payroll (ECP), with a proven history of successfully leading 2 to 4 full cycle implementations. The consultant will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during the migration of ECP from one SuccessFactors instance to another.

Key responsibilities
Offer expert technical support for SAP ECP, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
Understand and communicate SuccessFactors ECP requirements, with strong knowledge of SAP transaction codes, Wage Types, and InfoTypes.
Have extensive experience with Payroll Control Center (PCC), ensuring efficient payroll processing through setup validation, maintenance, and optimization.
Maintain workbooks, adhering to best practices and documenting configurations and processes.
Collaborate with HR, IT, and Finance teams for seamless payroll integration.
Train and support end-users and stakeholders to effectively utilize SAP ECP.
Conduct system testing, identify issues, and recommend solutions or enhancements.
Integrate SAP Payroll with other modules like HR, finance, and UKG WFM.
Transition global payroll to the SAP ECP platform and support USA, MEX, and CAN Payroll post-implementation.
Resolve complex payroll issues to ensure accurate results.
Interpret pay policies and ensure correct calculations and deductions.
Ensure compliance of payroll outputs with company policy and regulations.
Research federal and state regulatory requirements, resolving tax and wage/hour issues.
Apply service packs and updates for USA, Mexico, and Canada as deemed necessary.
Coordinate regression testing with payroll.
Experienced in payroll processing and global implementations.
Familiar with SAP Payroll integration with external systems and benefit providers.
Communicate effectively with HR and HRIS teams for solutions.
Improve HRIS workflows through technology enhancements.
Strong organizational skills.

Qualifications:
15+ years in SAP ECP with 2-4 full cycle implementations.
Experience with ECP system design, build, test, training, and documentation.
Technical skills in SAP ECP: configuration, customization, troubleshooting, and payroll process knowledge.
Knowledge of Payroll Control Center (PCC) setup, maintenance, and optimization.
Proficiency in maintaining EC workbooks and documentation.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Analytical and detail-oriented problem-solving experience.
Agile Project Management knowledge is a plus.
Extensive USA payroll knowledge required.
Mexican and Canadian payroll knowledge is beneficial.

Education / Certifications
Bachelor's in Information Systems, HR, Business Admin, or related.
SAP certification in ECP required.
Certified Payroll Professional (APA) preferred.
