Team Description:

Managed Strategies engineering team collaborates with Portfolio Managers, Marketers, Operations, and other Engineering teams to launch and run managed strategy business. Team is currently focused on building and maintaining portfolio management and trading platform infrastructure to Increase efficiency, provide scale, develop portfolio strategy ideas into implementation with an efficient time to market, provide a high-quality client experience by ensuring trading and sizing decisions are personalized at the client level.

Team is looking for an Engineer who will play a critical role in the development and implementation of software solutions for managed strategies portfolio management and trading.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

This is a full-stack Engineering role which will involve the candidate working across a variety of areas, primarily application development in Java and interaction with NoSQL/SQL, as well as flexibility for UI development in Angular. Basic working knowledge of python would be a plus. It requires the candidate to be familiar with distributed services, testing, system monitoring and reporting, and the SDLC process.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a best-in-class team of Engineers building an exciting new platform. The team works directly with a variety of stakeholders, including the Marketers, Portfolio Managers, structuring desk, product & operations teams, and partnering closely with engineering teams across the division to help in evolving the platform.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • Prior industry experience developing in Java, Angular & Non-SQL technologies such as MongoDB
  • Familiarity with AI coding assistance and skill development.
  • Experience with micro-services, Java deployments & DevOps tools such as Gitlab
  • Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
  • An ability to drive to goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and documentation skills - both verbally and in writing - to effectively interact with multiple people and global teams
  • Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player & experience working with global teams
  • Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
