Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with a strong background in Enterprise Data Management (EDM) and the Insurance industry. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in SQL and data modeling with a deep understanding of insurance workflows like Claims, Underwriting, and Policy management. You will be responsible for translating complex data patterns into actionable risk insights within an AWS-supported data environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Data Analysis & Insights: Interpret complex data patterns to identify exposure trends and early warning risk indicators.
* SQL Development: Write advanced SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from enterprise warehouses.
* BI Reporting: Design and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to support business decision-making.
* Data Modeling: Apply normalization and denormalization techniques to support Star Schema and Snowflake architectures.
* Insurance Analytics: Work specifically with Insurance workflows (Annuities, Claims, Policy) to drive domain-specific insights.
* Collaboration: Utilize Agile methodologies and JIRA to track deliverables and participate in CI/CD implementation.
Required Qualifications
* Technical: Advanced SQL, Excel, and Data Warehouse concepts (Fact/Dimension tables).
* Domain: Direct experience in the Insurance domain (Policy, Claims, Underwriting, or Annuities).
* Tools: Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik; knowledge of AWS analytics services.
* Frameworks: Strong hands-on experience with EDM (Enterprise Data Management).
* Education: BS in Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent.
