Job Title: Salesforce Platform Engineer Location: Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; Madison, WI (Hybrid 2 Days/Week Onsite)

Job Description

We are seeking a Salesforce Platform Engineer to join a highly collaborative Salesforce team supporting a large-scale implementation for a leading financial services organization. This role is ideal for a mid-to-senior level Salesforce professional with strong expertise in both declarative and programmatic Salesforce development.

The selected candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and developers to design, build, enhance, and support Salesforce solutions that drive business value and improve user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions using declarative and programmatic approaches.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce applications and features.
• Develop and maintain Apex Classes, Triggers, Batch Jobs, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce Pages, and JavaScript components.
• Configure Salesforce objects, workflows, flows, reports, dashboards, security settings, profiles, and permission sets.
• Build and support integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and external systems.
• Manage Salesforce deployments using Git, Salesforce DX (SFDX), and CI/CD processes.
• Maintain Salesforce environments, metadata, sandbox refreshes, and release management activities.
• Support data quality, data integrity, and Salesforce data model optimization.
• Collaborate within Agile teams and participate in sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and user story refinement.
• Troubleshoot platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures.

Required Skills

• 7 10+ years of Salesforce Development, Administration, and Configuration experience.
• Strong experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud.
• Hands-on expertise with:
• Apex
• Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• Visualforce
• JavaScript
• SOQL
• Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce DX (SFDX), Git, and CI/CD deployment processes.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce data models, object relationships, and platform architecture.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to evaluate declarative versus programmatic solutions and follow Salesforce best practices.
