Business Analyst with QA Experience

12+ Months Contract

Philadelphia, PA (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

There is absolutely no relocation allowed for this position.  Candidate must already reside in the Tri-State area near Philadelphia (no more than 1.50 hours away from Philadelphia).

It is very important the candidate have QA as well as BA experience.

Position Summary

The Business Analyst is responsible for collecting and documenting requirements to build new application/enhance existing application. The Analyst meets with Stakeholder to understand business processes and their needs, translates them to business/functional/Data requirement document; create workflow diagram, communicates requirements and data flow to technical staff They work with Developers to get the requirements implemented; they Test the application; Conducts UAT and provide post Deployment On-Site Support.

Business Analyst position has a dual role, they will be testing applications as well.

Essential Functions

·       Proficient in Scheduling meeting to Gather, Analyze, and document business and software requirements from stakeholders.

·       Analyze business processes and translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, use cases, functional specifications, and Test Cases.

·       Communicate requirements clearly to developers, Testers, and Stakeholders.

·       Proficient in creating various Diagrams: Process Flows, State, Activity, Sequence, Swim lanes, Wireframes etc.

·       Act as a Liaison between business users and IT Teams.

·       Proficient in doing Walkthroughs and User Acceptance Testing.

·       Proficient in creating Training Documents, Training users and providing support after a release.

·       Collaborate with Developers and QA to ensure solution align with business Goals.

·       Maintains professional composure while communicating clearly with stakeholders, developers, and testers.

·       Ability to test applications both functional Testing and regression Testing.  

·       Ability to convert Requirements into Test cases.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including

o   Ability to work with subject matter experts to address their needs

o   Communicating with software developers, business analysts, and testers succinctly.

·       Demonstrated experience working on teams of varying sizes on complex projects and demanding timelines.

·       Demonstrated ability to work alone on projects from start to finish.

·       Must have technical skills:

o   SharePoint Online (Office 365)

o   Microsoft Teams

o   GitLab or other Git repositories, JIRA

o   Balsamiq or any other design tools

o   Visio
