Title: Sr. Business Data Analyst - MDM

Location: Houston, TX(Onsite) Job Type: Contract

F2F Interview.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support mid-to-large scale Master Data Management (MDM) projects, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Analytics, and Corporate Leadership to gather, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements.
Manage stakeholder expectations, effectively challenging and refining business needs to optimize project outcomes.
Develop detailed requirements documentation, including user stories primarily for Data Engineering teams, and ensure clear communication across technical and business units.
Conduct comprehensive data analysis and profiling using expert SQL skills to support data quality, integration, and governance initiatives.
Facilitate advanced presentations and business written communication for diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and stakeholder buy-in.

Qualifications

7-10+ years of experience in large-scale IT environments, specifically within MDM or similar data management domains.
Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder expectations and challenging requirements in a corporate setting.
Strong technical expertise in SQL, Data Analysis, Data Profiling, and Data Integration processes.
Exceptional communication skills, including presentation, verbal, and business writing capabilities.
Experience capturing and writing requirements and user stories for data engineering and analytics teams.
Demonstrated success supporting enterprise-level data initiatives and working with cross-functional technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working in Houston or similar on-site environments.
Familiarity with enterprise data architecture frameworks and governance standards.
Certifications relevant to Business Analysis, Data Management, or Data Governance.
Experience with data quality tools and master data management platforms.
