Job DetailsThe Plumbing Design Engineer will support the design and development of plumbing systems for residential and commercial building projects. The role will work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment to produce coordinated plumbing designs and construction documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Design domestic cold and hot water systems
- Develop sanitary and storm-water drainage systems
- Design natural gas and LP gas piping systems
- Support hot-water and boiler system design
- Prepare plumbing plans, calculations, details, and construction documents
- Coordinate plumbing systems with architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and fire protection disciplines
- Review designs for applicable plumbing and building-code requirements
- Support projects through design development and construction documentation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional experience designing plumbing systems for buildings
- Experience producing plumbing construction documents
- Working knowledge of plumbing codes and building-system coordination
- Experience with domestic water and sanitary drainage design
- Ability to coordinate designs within a multidisciplinary MEP environment
- Revit and/or AutoCAD experience preferred pending client confirmation
- Engineering degree, PE/EIT status, and exact experience requirements to be confirmed
