Job Description: Automation Tester

Location: Remote

Role Summary

The Automation Tester will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated and manual test strategies to ensure the quality, reliability, accessibility, and performance of the Client’s applications and services. The role involves validating application functionality, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, managing defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, automated test scripts, and test data for the client’s applications and services.

2. Perform functional, regression, integration, API, interoperability, performance, and Section 508 accessibility testing to ensure application quality and compliance with applicable standards.

3. Execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines, analyze test results, and identify defects, failures, and unexpected system behavior.

4. Document, track, retest, and validate defect resolutions in collaboration with development and engineering teams.

5. Support end-user testing and verify that delivered functionality meets documented business requirements, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.

6. Maintain test documentation, execution results, supporting evidence, and requirements traceability artifacts to ensure quality validation, compliance, and audit readiness.

7. Analyze and report recurring defects, testing trends, quality metrics, and potential risks to project stakeholders and engineering teams.

8. Identify and support opportunities to improve test automation frameworks, expand test coverage, enhance test reporting, and optimize overall quality assurance processes.
