Job Type: W2 Contract
Note:

Experience working in .Net/C# environment and ability to read and understand the code and do small edits to it should be fine.
Description:
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to help accelerate the build of our agentic analytics pipeline.
This is a hands-on, high-autonomy engagement for an exceptional engineer who understands the insurance domain and is fluent with the latest AI tooling. You will hit the ground running, rapidly prototype and validate ideas, and turn concepts from our architects and product managers into working software within days proving where AI and agentic patterns add real value across the pillar.
The Role:
Rapidly prototype, build and validate ideas turning concepts from architects and Senior Product Managers into working software within days.
Design and build components of our agentic analytics pipeline using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and modern agent frameworks.
Act as the "circuit breaker" between discovery and delivery: prove feasibility, de-risk emerging technology, and produce clear guidance on how to build the solution properly at scale.
Exploit AI-assisted development tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot and coding agents) to deliver at pace and raise the productivity of the wider team.
Integrate prototypes with our existing platform and services (C# / .NET, Angular and Python) and cloud / DevOps tooling.
Work hands-on within a cross-functional team, challenge technical design choices, and share knowledge so capability persists after the engagement ends.
Bring awareness of technology trends outside the organisation and apply them pragmatically to our risk and insurance products.
The Requirements:
Essential:
Available to start at short notice and commit to an initial 6-month engagement, working at pace with minimal ramp-up.
Strong hands-on software engineering experience, with demonstrable competency in C# / .NET Core and TypeScript / Angular, and proficiency in Python.
Practical experience building with AI and agentic technologies e.g. large language models, RAG, prompt engineering, and agent frameworks / orchestration (such as LangChain, LangGraph or Semantic Kernel).
Proven ability to rapidly prototype and validate ideas, moving a concept from whiteboard to working demo in days.
Insurance, reinsurance or financial-services domain knowledge, ideally within risk & analytics, actuarial or catastrophe modelling.
Experience using Azure DevOps and GitHub (or equivalent) and familiarity with all phases of the SDLC and Agile delivery.
First-rate communication skills and the ability to work directly with technical and business stakeholders in an occasionally pressurised environment.
Comfortable working autonomously remotely and face-to-face and confident challenging established approaches.
Desirable:
Experience taking AI / LLM solutions into production, including evaluation, guardrails and cost management.
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and containerisation.
