Job Description

We are seeking an experienced NSX Functional Architect / NSX Administrator to design, deploy, configure, and manage enterprise VMware NSX-T environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network virtualization, VMware technologies, networking, security, automation, and advanced troubleshooting.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience administering VMware NSX-T in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN/overlay networking, and routing/switching.
• Hands-on experience with vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related VMware ecosystem technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting complex networking and virtualization issues across multiple layers.
• Knowledge of network security best practices and micro-segmentation design.
• Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell/PowerCLI, Python, or REST APIs.
• Experience designing, implementing, and managing logical routing, switching, load balancing, and distributed firewall policies.
• Experience monitoring NSX infrastructure performance, capacity, health, and logs.
• Strong documentation and collaboration skills.

Highly Desired Skills

• VMware certifications such as VCP-NV, VCAP-NV, or equivalent hands-on expertise.
• Knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including AWS and Azure.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as vRealize Network Insight, Aria Operations, SolarWinds, and Splunk.
• Experience supporting data center modernization and disaster recovery initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and administer VMware NSX-T environments.
• Manage micro-segmentation strategies and virtual network security policies.
• Perform maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management of NSX and related VMware platforms.
• Troubleshoot issues involving network overlays, transport nodes, edge appliances, and physical network integrations.
• Develop automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, capacity, and security.
• Collaborate with network, systems, and security teams on architecture, upgrades, and deployments.
• Develop and maintain topology diagrams, SOPs, and configuration documentation.
• Support incident response, on-call rotation, and critical infrastructure escalations.
