Technical Writer

Position Description:

1. complete the development and writing of a publicly available ten-year plan for dissemination.
2. Perform technical research related to public health recommendations and evidence-based practices
3. Summarize analyzed data, including charts, graphs, maps and tables into a technical report.
4. Develop workgroup and key informant interview questions to obtain feedback from selected statewide stakeholders to support the development of goals, objectives, focus areas, and strategies to improve oral health outcomes throughout the state and to strengthen and support the dental workforce and improve access to care.
5. Facilitate workgroups and interviews and incorporate feedback gathered as well as information gathered in technical research into the written document.

 Client has a need for an individual with the following experience:

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Publisher and design software and experience using team collaboration environments such as Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
2. Ability to perform technical research, write clearly and document work.
3. Solid analytical, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
4. Experience facilitating workgroups and incorporating feedback into technical reports and recommendations.
5. Experience in the development of goals, objectives, focus areas, and strategies for publicly available technical documents.
6. Experience summarizing relevant data, charts, tables, graphs and maps into written reports as well as knowledge of public health strategies, data collection and surveillance principles.
7. Experience managing projects under supervision and guidance with attention to detail.

6.   Ability to work remotely effectively.
