We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Dearborn, MI (onsite). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GitHub and its suite of products, as well as experience managing a multi-instance, multi-product environment. You will play a critical role in enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, automating processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our applications.



Key ResponsibilitiesLead efforts regarding integrations/product implementations/redesign that have global impact and function as a subject matter expert for those effortsAdminister different GitHub platforms and associated products including CoPilot, Actions etc.Maintain complex applications in Linux environment (VMs or containers/Kubernetes)Assist in migrating data from GitHub on-prem to GitHub Enterprise manage User (EMU)Support basic access needs to complex integrations or large-scale product change initiativesIdentify and spearhead improvements that address gaps in product/system/processTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GitHub cloud products and their integrationsDocument and provide training and support to other site administrators, the overall team and end users



Experience RequiredMust have 5+ years' experience with Github platformA strong understanding of the GitHub and its suite of products, a multi-instance, multi-product environmentMust have scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Java/SpringBoot or Python to automate processMust have good understanding of CI / CD pipeline including Jenkins, GitHub ActionsUnderstanding and working experience in Azure Active Directory APIClear concepts in OAuth2 and OpenID authentication protocols Experience with Google Cloud Platform, OpenShift or similar cloud platformKnowledge of other CI/CD tools (i.e. Jenkins, Github Actions, Tekton, FOSSA etc.)Knowledge of REST API including GitHub APIsWorking experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Spanner etc.



Skills PreferredExperience with AI/ML bot and security, MCP serverProactively monitor support tickets and collaborate with customers to resolve GitHub platform and integration-related issues efficientlyDemonstrate flexibility by collaborating with global teams outside of standard business hours as neededWrite scripts to automate common tasksSimplifies complex ideas and conveys them clearly in both oral and written communicationGather needs of customers at Ford and design and develop tools to meet themAble to multitask and work on multiple systems to meet tight deadlinesAnalyze and identify areas of concern/opportunity and recommend solutions to improveCollaborate with Development Teams to troubleshoot and recommend tuning of CI/CD pipelinesAgile personality and system admin and automation mindset for contributing and leading the agile team for quality deliverablesActively participate in all team agile ceremonies: Backlog Refinement/Planning & Stand-ups o Retrospectives
