A globally leading consumer device company headquartered in Cupertino, CA is looking for Acoustics Engineering Program Manager to join a team focused on developing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. As an Acoustics Engineering Program Manager, you will play a key role in driving engineering excellence, collaboration, and innovation across cross-functional teams. In this highly collaborative position, you will coordinate efforts internally with the Audio Engineering team and externally with Product Design, Electrical Engineering (EE), Operations, and manufacturing partners. The EPM will lead day-to-day program activities, build planning, execution, validation coordination, and risk management to ensure successful delivery of hardware development programs.
Responsibilities:
• Define and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and development milestones
• Drive execution of hardware development programs from concept through production
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Audio, Product Design, EE, Operations, and external suppliers
• Lead engineering builds, validation activities, and system integration efforts
• Ensure effective communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders
• Track program risks, dependencies, and issues; drive timely resolution and escalation when needed
• Support manufacturing readiness and high-volume production planning
• Facilitate status reporting and executive-level program updates
• Manage build planning, execution, and post-build analysis
• Improve operational efficiency and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle
Key Qualifications:
• 2+ years of program management experience in hardware module development
• Experience working with international OEM/ODM manufacturing partners preferred
• Understanding of high-volume manufacturing and production test procedures
• Strong knowledge of hardware development and validation processes
• Excellent presentation, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills
• Ability to understand and communicate complex technical and engineering issues
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Experience managing schedules, risks, dependencies, and program execution
Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Program Management, or a related technical field preferred. Advanced degree is a plus
• Experience with consumer electronics hardware development
• Familiarity with EVT, DVT, and PVT build phases
• Knowledge of acoustics or audio hardware systems
• Experience in new product introduction (NPI) environments
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
