Job Title: Junior Project Manager / Project Coordinator
Location: Remote (Must work Eastern Time Zone hours)
Employment Type: Contract
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager / Project Coordinator with 4-5 years of experience to support project planning, execution, governance, and delivery across business and technology teams. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in project management activities and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, with exposure to Agile practices and technical ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day project coordination across multiple workstreams, ensuring tasks, timelines, and deliverables remain on track
- Maintain and update RAID logs, project status reports, action items, and governance documentation
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting notes, action tracking, and stakeholder follow-ups
- Track project progress in JIRA, ensuring tickets, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones are current and visible
- Partner closely with Business Analysts and technical teams to maintain requirements, scope clarity, priorities, and timelines
- Communicate project updates, risks, issues, and decisions clearly and timely to stakeholders
- Support governance activities, including preparing status materials, escalating blockers, and ensuring alignment with PMO standards
- Assist in coordinating cross-functional teams and driving accountability for action items and deliverables
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies (such as stand-ups or sprint updates) and support adherence to Agile delivery practices where applicable
- Collaborate with technical teams working across areas such as APIs, Azure, system integrations, and modern application development
Required Qualifications
- 4-5 years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Junior Project Manager, or similar project support role
- Strong understanding of core project management activities, including planning, tracking, reporting, risk management, and issue escalation
- Hands-on experience managing RAID logs and maintaining project documentation
- Experience communicating with both business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to independently facilitate meetings, document outcomes, and follow through on action items
- Hands-on experience using JIRA to manage tickets, track progress, and monitor delivery timelines
- Experience working with Business Analysts and technology teams to manage requirements and delivery schedules
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities in a remote environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be available to work during Eastern Time Zone business hours
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, CSM, SAFe Agile, or similar certification
- Experience working within Agile frameworks, including participation in Agile ceremonies and sprint cycles
- Exposure to PMO processes, governance models, and structured reporting environments
- Experience supporting projects within technical environments (e.g., full stack development, cloud platforms like Azure, APIs, or system integration)
- Familiarity with domains such as Cyber Insurance, Digital Broker, or related insurance/financial services industries
