.NET & .NET Core Software Engineer Opportunities

This is a Full-Time Remote (Contract) Position supporting a Large Healthcare Organization’s Federal DoD Program. Full benefits, PTO, and paid holidays are inclusive of this position.

Requirements: ship Work Status Authorization; Has attained a Federal Government Clearance within the past 2 years; Has supported Federal Government Projects/Clients within the past 2 years; Ability to attain a Secret/Top Secret Security Clearance; 4+ years of professional experience with working and/or responding to critical incidents, building web applications and RESTful web services, MS SQL, ProgreSQL; 2+ years of professional experience with .NET core, Angular, React, JavaScript frameworks/libraries; Professional experience with Application Containerization, deployment, orchestration along CI/CD and test automation environments, Azure Cloud Services, Networking & Internet Protocols, troubleshooting applications running within Kubernetes, Encryption- PKI & OWASP, understanding of architectural principles & domain-driven design, and microservices architecture

Salary Target: $90K-$120K/YR (Salary is flexible based on the relevant years of professional experience and background related to the position)

Contract Term: 6 Months with a Performance Evaluation for an extension for 1 year- then contract renews annually with the possibility of conversion as determined by the Organization

Core Technical Stack:

Backend

The primary backend profile appears to be:

• C# 
• .NET Core or modern .NET 
• ASP.NET Core 
• REST APIs 
• Web services 
• Object-oriented programming 
• Entity Framework or another ORM, although it is not explicitly listed 

The phrase “.NET Core or similar object-oriented programming language” provides some flexibility, but the safest candidate is someone with direct C# and .NET Coreexperience.

A Java or another object-oriented backend engineer might theoretically qualify, but they would be less attractive unless the client confirms that equivalent languages are genuinely acceptable.

Frontend

The candidate should have experience with:

• Angular 
• React 
• JavaScript 
• TypeScript, likely 
• HTML and CSS 
• Single-page applications 

The person does not necessarily need to be a frontend specialist. They need sufficient frontend capability to work across the application stack.

Database

Look for:

• Microsoft SQL Server

• Data access and application integration 
• Performance troubleshooting 

Cloud and DevOps

Preferred experience includes:

Job Description:

Essential Functions Include

• Designs, codes, tests and debugs applications and components that meet all technical specifications and business requirements per assigned work items.
• Collaborates closely with stakeholders, product owners, and feature team on developing requirements
• Refines business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
• Perform code reviews
• Operational Excellence – build, deploy, monitor, and operation of production services.
• Communicates effectively with business stakeholders and technical team.
• Mentors junior software engineers

Job Qualifications:

Required

• Experience leveraging AI tools in the software development lifecycle in order to improve quality and efficiency
• 2+ years’ experience in full lifecycle of software development projects in an agile environment.
• Hands-on technical expertise in building web applications and RESTful web services.
• Experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or other similar relational database management system.
• Experience with .NET Core or similar object oriented programming language.
• Experience with Angular, React, or other JavaScript frameworks / libraries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or related field or related field or 4 years’ relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with application containerization, deployment, and orchestration across environments.
• Experience with CI/CD and test automation.
• Experience building cloud-native applications in Azure or similar cloud service provider.
• Basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot applications running within Kubernetes.
• Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and automated provisioning & configuration management.
• Basic understanding of networking and internet protocols.
• Knowledge of Encryption, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), understanding of OWASP
