Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Stabilization

• Provide day-to-day operational management for multiple concurrent IT projects already in progress.
• Drive immediate execution and delivery discipline to bring predictability to project schedules.
• Break down complex work into clear milestones, deliverables, and executable project plans.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and critical decision points early to ensure timely resolution.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Align project execution with leadership priorities and provide concise status reporting to the IT Director and executive stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional work across business analysts, developers, SMEs, and external consultants.
• Mentor business analysts on documentation standards and project management discipline.
• Facilitate project meetings and manage complex schedules using Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

Compliance & Quality

• Manage projects involving application migration, data warehouse updates, and reporting remediation.
• Ensure all project documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and suitable for formal audit reviews.
• Reinforce consistent project management best practices across the entire portfolio.

Required Qualifications

• Certification: Active PMP Certification is required.
• Core Experience: Minimum 5 years (8+ years highly preferred) of hands-on IT Project Management experience.
• Portfolio Management: Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent technology projects.
• Project Takeover: Proven ability to step into "in-flight" or distressed projects and drive them to successful completion.
• Technical Literacy: Experience managing application migrations, modernization efforts, or data warehouse/reporting projects.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with executive leadership.

Highly Desired Skills

• Experience working within the Public Sector or highly visible government environments.
• Proven background in mentoring business analysts or junior project staff.
• Strong focus on delivery-oriented, structured project management methodologies.
