Hybrid Role

Compensation: $77

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Client is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the end-to-end strategy, development, and delivery of technology and data products. In this role, you will own the product lifecycle from discovery through delivery, ensuring alignment with business value, end user outcomes, and key performance indicators, including financial return on investment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop and maintain a product roadmap, and prioritize the product backlog. The Product Owner will analyze market and competitive conditions, assess product viability and risks, and use data-driven insights to optimize product performance. This position also emphasizes adherence to environmental and sustainability goals, supporting the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement across the organization. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with over four years of relevant experience, strong technical fluency, and a proven ability to work independently in complex environments, particularly with data engineering platforms, cloud-native technologies, and internal developer or engineering customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own product strategy and solution delivery from discovery to launch, defining business value, end user outcomes, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial return on investment (ROI)
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, deciding what to build and when, and collaborating with teams to estimate features, define requirements, and develop a product roadmap based on team capacity
  • Serve as the product functional owner, bringing new technology and data products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements, preparing ROI analyses, and addressing product team questions
  • Analyze market and competitive conditions to inform product direction and clearly communicate business value to the teams serving the customer
  • Assess and address critical product risks, including value, usability, feasibility, and business viability
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data for detailed analysis to identify opportunities for product optimization and improvement
  • Support and adhere to the organization's environmental and sustainability goals, promoting best practices, standard processes, and continuous improvement across the enterprise or group
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting technology or data products, including applications, services, or platforms
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering and business stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous and complex problem spaces
  • Experience owning or contributing to data engineering platforms or frameworks for analytics or data products (preferred)
  • Strong technical fluency, including the ability to understand system architecture and data flows, participate in technical strategy and design discussions, and influence architectural and platform decisions
  • Experience partnering closely with senior engineers, architects, or platform tech leads
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, orchestration concepts, data modeling, transformation workflows, and cloud-native platform patterns
  • Experience supporting internal developer or engineering customers
