Job Description - Experience

12+ years of overall Mainframe experience with at least 3+ years in Architecture, Technical Leadership, or Solution Design roles.

Strong experience in Trading, Brokerage, Capital Markets, Wealth Management, or Financial Services domains preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Define end-to-end architecture solutions for Mainframe applications supporting Trading business functions.

Lead architecture reviews, solution design discussions, and technical decision-making.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, SMEs, Product Owners, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Drive Mainframe modernization, cloud readiness assessments, API enablement, and integration strategies.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.

Participate in estimation, capacity planning, technical risk identification, and mitigation planning.

Ensure adherence to architectural standards, security controls, compliance requirements, and best practices.

Support production stability, performance optimization, and complex incident resolution.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

Strong expertise in:

COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS

Deep understanding of Mainframe application architecture, batch processing, online transaction processing, and data management.

Strong experience in end-to-end development, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and QA/UAT support

Expertise in:

Endevor / ISPW

File Aid

SPUFI

File Manager

QMF

Xpeditor

Abend Aid

CA-7 Scheduling

Hands-on experience in application performance tuning and production support.
