Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Java WebAPI Architect to design and lead scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications and APIs. Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, cloud, and system architecture is required. Banking/Financial Services experience is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and define architecture for enterprise Java applications, Web APIs, and microservices.
• Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Define API standards, architecture patterns, security guidelines, and integration strategies.
• Lead modernization of legacy/monolithic applications into cloud-native microservices architectures.
• Develop highly available, scalable, resilient, and low-latency applications.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Java development teams.
• Work with business stakeholders and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Design integrations between internal applications, third-party systems, and enterprise platforms.
• Implement API security using OAuth2, JWT, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices.
• Work with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform cloud platforms and cloud-native services.
• Design solutions using Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and define appropriate data-access strategies.
• Perform architecture reviews, code/design reviews, and technical assessments.
• Identify application performance, scalability, reliability, and automation opportunities.
• Support production issues, root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and continuous improvement.
• Create technical architecture documents, API specifications, design diagrams, and implementation guidelines.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, DevOps, QA, and Application Support teams.
• Ensure solutions comply with banking security, regulatory, and enterprise architecture standards.

Required Skills:

• Strong Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC.
• RESTful Web Services, WebAPI, Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Microservices Architecture and system design.
• AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform cloud experience.
• Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• SQL/Oracle and NoSQL databases.
• API Security – OAuth2, JWT.
• Kafka/Messaging experience is a plus.
• Banking/Financial Services experience preferred.
• 15+ years of software development/architecture experience.
