Summary

We are seeking an experienced SEC Reporting Analyst to support a well-established financial institution in a hybrid onsite role (3 days per week). This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals with end-to-end SEC reporting experience and prior exposure to financial institutions or audit environments. The role focuses on preparing accurate, compliant regulatory filings while collaborating cross-functionally to support leadership reporting, audits, and disclosure enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K) using Workiva, including XBRL tagging
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly regulatory reports, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements
  • Analyze financial variances and trends; prepare executive-level financial summaries
  • Respond to SEC and stakeholder inquiries in partnership with Legal and internal teams
  • Monitor SEC and FASB updates and recommend disclosure improvements
  • Support audits by gathering documentation, maintaining audit trails, and compiling data from multiple sources
  • Propose updates to internal controls aligned with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
  • Assist with reporting tools and automation initiatives in Workiva and Workday Financials
  • Collaborate with peer institutions on reporting best practices and consistency

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • End-to-end SEC reporting experience (Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K)
  • Hands-on experience with Workiva or similar SEC reporting platforms
  • Experience working within a financial institution or auditing financial institutions
  • Strong knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and disclosure research
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of accounting or auditing experience
  • Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills

Nice to Have:

  • CPA license (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with Workday Financials
  • MBA or post-baccalaureate accounting credentials
