ROLE:Operations Research Data Analyst
LOCATION:Ft. Meade, MD- 100% On site
DURATION:6 Months to hire
Rate:$85/hr on w2 ($185k per annum after hire)
Clearance: Top secret Active
Must haves:
Need a strong Data visualization skills and the ability to manipulate and pull data in various environments.
Must have experience with visualizing data in Power BI or Tableau.
They prefer experience with Power BI since that is their environment.
Must have scripting in R, SAS, Python or MATLAB.
Must have hands on experience with SQL.
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
Programming & Statistical Tools:
· R, SAS, MATLAB (core requirement)
· Python (highly recommended for machine learning and data science tasks)
· Data Mining & Machine Learning:
· Experience with algorithms for classification, clustering, regression
· Familiarity with libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow (if Python is used)
· Working with Large Datasets:
· Knowledge of database querying (SQL)
· Handling structured and unstructured data efficiently
· Visualization Tools:
· Power BI (required for reporting)
· Optional: Tableau or Python visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn)
Basic Qualifications
· Active TS/SCI security clearance
· Bachelor''s degree and 8-12 years’ experience or Master’s degree and 6-10 years’ experience in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Experience with specialized software such as MATLAB, SAS, or R.
· Familiarity with machine learning techniques and data mining.
· Experience with data analysis and statistical software.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
